1. Manual Therapy
Using specific passive & active movements in a therapeutic/healing manner.

2. Electrotherapy
The usage of electronic devices such as Electro-muscular and Nerve Stimulation (EMS/TENS), Laser Therapy and Therapeutic Ultrasound.
Laser Therapy
LASER (Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation) is a form of electromagnetic radiation.
“Is Laser Therapy safe for animals?” Let us tell why?
Light is transformed into biochemical energy to help tissue healing and decrease pain by numbing the pain receptors. Laser therapy is recommended for positive recovery progress, usually paired with our hydrotherapy treatment.
Therapeutic Ultrasound
Ultrasound therapy is effectively used for tissue healing, pain relief, as well as fracture healing.
This treatment is not recommended if your pet has an open wound, but proven significantly on tissues with higher collagen content such as ligaments, tendons, fascia, joint capsule and scar tissue.

Therapeutic exercise is the systematic execution of planned physical movements and activities. It is used to prevent long-term physical dysfunction, help return to normal or optimal function, reduce the risk of injury, enhance overall health, improve fitness, and aid weight loss. Therapeutic exercise helps to increase overall strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, and proprioception.
5. Kinesio-taping
It is suggested that all physiotherapy treatments must adhere to a veterinary’s consultation beforehand. Our physiotherapy team can provide further explanations.
We offer sport-specific training and customised fitness programmes for any pet dog and working/ professional dogs. Each programme is designed based on life stage (puppy, adult and senior) and specific training development needs after an evaluation by our physiotherapists.
If your pet is overweight or obese
We have a weight loss exercise programme which consists of hydrotherapy, treadmill training, as well as obstacle course with land-based paw-friendly equipment!
Fitness treadmill
Domestic household pets suffer increasing health risks due to obesity and lack of fitness knowledge. At our pet gym, your pets can effectively work out and correct muscle lameness with our treadmill that is specifically designed with force-plate analysis.
The movement of each paw during different speed and interval will be closely monitored by our physiotherapist team.
Hydrotherapy
Our indoor, heated hydro-pool with spa jet can compensate any pet of various shapes and sizes, with life vests available upon request.
Spa therapy in terms of water treatment can help relaxation (reduces stress), improve circulation (blood flow) and increase awareness in muscle feedback.

In 2015 alone Animal Medical Centre Kuala Lumpur, was presented with 280 cases of debilitating lameness and paresis. These cases ranged from dogs with inherited disease resulting in early developing osteoarthritis and includes geriatric pets with end stage spinal and hip osteoarthritis. The limited response to conventional medical and surgical options prompted Dr Amilan Sivagurunathan and his team of senior veterinarians to pursue alternative technologies and trends with the hope of implementing novel and therapeutic technologies to benefit these patients. One of the technologies used in our stem cell application is from MediVet Biologics.
MediVet Biologics developed the first in-clinic Adipose Stem Cell Therapy kit. They continue to make advancements in veterinary regenerative medicine and biological therapeutic offerings for both equine and small animal applications. MediVet’s Adipose-Derived Stem Cell Procedure kit is a major scientific advancement in animal stem cell therapy that offers an economic solution for owners of pets suffering from osteoarthritis, hip dysplasia, ligament and cartilage injuries as well as numerous mobility ailments.

- The option of stem cell banking allows the use of ADMSC in multiple planned treatments for canine and feline osteoarthritis.

Stem-cell Therapy is included in as area of modern medicine known as regenerative medicine. Regenerative medicine simply means that we use the body’s own regenerative systems for protecting and repairing itself by inducing certain mechanisms. These self-repairing mechanisms can be induced through different means, but stem cell have proven to be one of the most effective ways of achieving fairy consistent and measurable result. The process seem simple enough, but requires proper technique, training and a sterile environment.

Causes & Symptoms of Dysplasia
Hip and elbow dysplasia are caused by different factors that combine to advance the conditions most commonly associated with the disease.
